GLADE RUN LUTHERAN SERVICES Assistant - Receptionist in Zelienople, Pennsylvania

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School graduate or equivalent.
  2. Minimum two years of experience in office management preferred
  3. Exceptional knowledge, accuracy, and skills of computer and/or software including:     Microsoft Word, Google docs, google slides.
  4. Strong organization and written/oral communication skills.
  5. Ability to work cooperatively with other office personnel; be pleasant and hospitable to visitors.
  6. Ability to perform all items on job description efficiently and accurately.
  7. Must be able to adjust hours to job requirements including some evening hours.   
  8. Ability to identify with the agency's Mission Statement and support the agency's Core Values.
  9. Must be eligible for PA State Police Clearance, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI clearance, Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form, and Act 168 Forms.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  1.  Perform Receptionist duties:
  •  Answer telephone, screen calls and take accurate messages.
  •  Pleasantly greet visitors and direct them as appropriate.
  •  Control admittance to the schools via the security doors and intercom system.
  •  Assist with dismissal as may be needed.
  •  Respond to intercom calls from classrooms immediately.  React as needed.
  •  Notify staff of late-arriving students and early dismissals.

2.  Complete assignments requested by supervisor, Principal, and other school leadership    personnel.

  • Assist to accurately record and track all student attendance.
  • Miscellaneous typing, filing and copying as requested by supervisor, Principal and other school leadership personnel.
  • Assist with equipment inventory, control, and access.       
  • Maintain specialty room reservation calendars and key requests.
  • Schedule interviews as directed by supervisor, Principal and other school leadership personnel.
  • Work with leadership team to orientate new staff to the school, including tour and completion of orientation checklist
  1. Mail and Coverage Responsibilities
  • Assist with pick up and delivery of department mail and supplies.
  • Assist with routine daily tasks (i.e., late trays, dismissals, etc.).
  • Type and/or assist with mailings as may be necessary.

4.  Work collaboratively with other departments to support the Education Department and contracted services.

  1. Coordinate facility requests, vehicle request, maintenance request, and room sign-outs.

  2. During summer months, this position will oversee summer projects, tasks such as flooring, painting, IT and cleaning.  They will work collaboratively with leadership and contractors to complete these tasks

  3. Assist with other support tasks as may arise.
