IBM Quantum Information and Error Correction Theorist in Yorktown Heights, New York

Your role and responsibilities

A successful candidate has a strong theoretical understanding of quantum information science and error correction and a desire to impact hardware design and development. This position involves close collaboration between theory, experiment, and software teams, and also a high degree of autonomy. Candidates are expected to publish and present high-impact results and to work closely with other members of the team.

Required technical and professional expertise

'- Proven record of research accomplishment.

  • At least 5 years of experience in quantum computing theory

  • Master's degree in physics, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field

Preferred technical and professional experience

'- At least 5 years of experience in quantum computing, error correction, fault-tolerance, quantum algorithms, or quantum information theory

  • Some programming experience preferred.
