Aerotek Pressing Machine Operator in York, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Pressing Machine Operator

Job Description

The pressing machine operator will be part of the dynamic Production/Pressing Department team. You will be responsible for loading and unloading molds into machines, entering the data for the correct brick into the computer system, and moving carts once they are filled with bricks. In addition, you will use your troubleshooting skills to solve basic machine issues before calling maintenance. You will also be responsible for cleaning your station at the end of each shift. During the first 90 days, you will receive hands-on training from an experienced operator. Potential candidates may have backgrounds in machine operating, printing press operating, auto technicians, farming, or construction.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 520 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in York, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

The schedule is fixed for the entire year and rotates on a 12-week cycle. Shifts available are 1st shift (7A-3P M-F or 7A-7P on weekends), 2nd shift (3P-11P M-F or 7A-7P or 7P-7A on weekends), and 3rd shift (11P-7A M-F or 7P-7A on weekends). The starting pay rate is $24.56 per hour, with potential to earn up to $30 per hour by the end of the second year, based on skill tests. Dress code is long pants and t-shirt. Please note that certain areas of the work environment can reach up to 110 degrees during the summer and some areas may be dirtier than others.
