Job Title: Press Operator
Job Description
The Press Operator will be responsible for operating press to create samples of printed material to be inspected prior to full production.
Additionally, the operator will operate multiple machinery within the department. This role involves working closely with the product development team to improve efficiencies in new products and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
Operate the press to create samples
Mount and dismount material, load and unload print cylinders into the machine, adjust colors , and perform clean-ups.
Maintain good records and sample retains.
Follow standard operating procedures for the press and ink adjustments.
Collaborate with multiple departments
Understand and meet product development deadlines.
Keep the work area clean and maintained daily and general preventative maintenance on machinery
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
Mechanically inclined with the ability to change over machines
Quality control inspection skills to note defects
Machine operation experience
Ability to operate a sit-down forklift to move materials to the press area.
Proficiency in using a tape measure for assembly and printing press tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and mechanical ability.
Experience with quality checks and machine operating.
Physical ability to stand, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, pivot/twist, balance, and climb.
This is a contract to hire opportunity with room for advancement.
Work Environment:
The role is based in a manufacturing environment.
Press operating roles are available in shifts: 1st shift
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
