What you will do:

Consult with Engineering on new designs that have been previous done as a special quote

Work with Manufacturing to correct design errors

Work with Manufacturing to correct issues on factory floor and keep production dates

Review and assess deviation report from factory

Work with Application Engineering to determine feasibility of proposed changes

Educate and train Application Engineers in design and manufacturing processes

Responsible for leading multisite team

Manage 2 separate groups within the team, application engineers and manufacturing

Represent team to software departments to meet needs of Contract Engineering team

Help to identify, correct and remove software errors

Work with Airside Technical Service teams to address warranty issues

Work with the highest level of business ethics and integrity

Commit to developing expected leadership behaviors -- to be passionate to win, customer focused, collaborative, and decisive

Provide commercial, competitive and technical application engineering support all aspects of Standard Air Handling Units with minimal direction

Ensure the design and layout of the AHU will function as intended

Analyze product requirements and develop alternative innovative designs. Use complex problem-solving techniques requiring regular use of ingenuity and creativity

Support Customer Visits (factory tours) as necessary

Review and analyze engineering rules and documents as necessary

Recommend cost savings and value engineering alternatives for Air Handling Units and systems

Be proficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support Standard Air Handling products

What we look for: Required

BS in Engineering or related science, or equivalent experience

Minimum 3 years' experience in air conditioning design or a related field

Experience in a design and product development environment

Experience with design and construction of packaged air conditioning systems

Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work well with employees and customers at all levels

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly organized and able to effectively manage multiple simultaneous projects
