2nd Shift Slitting Line Operator - SLITT002714  

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Job Summary Performs duties related to setting up the line and ability to operator the line by performing the following duties.

Job Responsibilities    * Reads work order for job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements * Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template * Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine * Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction * Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation * Other duties as assigned

Qualifications * High school diploma * 1 -- 2 years' experience in production process (metals industry preferred) * Slitter Operator experience * High school diploma * 1 -- 2 years' experience in production process (metals industry preferred) * Knowledge of reading measuring devises  * Basic math skills * Basic computer knowledge * Detailed oriented with ability to inspect material for quality
