Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

Join our team as a General Laborer, where you will be an essential part of the process of preparing wrecked vehicles for shipment to third-party customers. This full-time position involves working outdoors year-round, performing various tasks to clean and prepare vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Open doors, hood, and trunk of vehicles, sometimes using hand tools depending on the condition of the vehicle.

• Remove license plates from vehicles.

• Use a Jump Box to power the odometer.

• Start the car if possible to test its functionality.

• Clean out trash and dispose of it properly, separating personal belongings and placing them in the trunk or off to the side as directed.

• Use a shop vacuum to clean the car if required.

• Test the seals of the windows and doors as needed.

• Take pictures of the vehicle and answer questions about its condition, demonstrating attention to detail.

Essential Skills

• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, every day of the year.

• Willingness to perform multiple tasks.

• Attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with automotive tools and general labor.

• Cleaning, construction, or garage work is a plus.

Work Environment

This role involves working outdoors throughout the year, in varying weather conditions.

You must be comfortable working in heat, cold, dust, and rain.

The work shift is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm,

Overtime is available during busy periods.

You will need to provide your own clothing for cold and wet weather.

The dress code includes leather work boots that cover the ankles, long pants, and a reflective vest.

Safety glasses and gloves are provided.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York Haven, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
