Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment within our plant. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and will perform routine preventative maintenance independently. The role involves making process improvements, responding to emergencies, and training Level I Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and machine operators.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair advanced mechanical issues on most equipment efficiently.

  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on plant equipment.

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on plant equipment, including electrical and hydraulic systems.

  • Recommend process and equipment improvements to the Maintenance Manager.

  • Respond to on-call emergencies.

  • Communicate critical issues to Group Lead and/or Maintenance Manager promptly.

  • Order parts as needed and maintain spare parts inventory.

  • Complete required maintenance documentation, including work orders, timesheets, and parts requests.

  • Train machine operators on daily maintenance procedures.

  • Utilize basic fabrication and welding skills to repair or make parts for equipment.

  • Perform general plant, building, and grounds maintenance as required.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or GED; advanced technical training preferred.

  • Above average mechanical and industrial electrical skills.

  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.

  • Basic understanding of water systems, electronic controls, and pneumatics.

  • Experience using diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of circuitry, AC/DC voltage, and ladder logic.

  • Proficiency in operating power tools and hand tools; proficiency in rigging.

  • Basic welding skills and knowledge of welding equipment and materials.

  • General mathematical skills and ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to read and understand work orders and equipment manuals.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently or as a team.

  • Ability to read and understand English.

  • Ability to work overtime as required by production.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Direct CNC maintenance experience is a major plus.

Work Environment

Work in a CNC Machine Shop, primarily Toyoda, Haas, and Okuuma brands. The shop includes 1/3 lathe and 2/3 milling machines (a mix of VMC and HMC), with primarily FANUC controllers on the machines. Overtime on weekends is handled on a voluntary basis first, with a weekend rotation if no volunteers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Wrightsville, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
