Ministry Support (Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries) Family Life Services Therapist in Williamsport, Pennsylvania

Category/Shift/Hours per 2 week pay period: Per Diem / Day Shift / 0 hours per pay period

Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries is one of the premier employers in Pennsylvania and Maryland. We are a non-profit organization which includes Diakon Senior Living Services and Diakon Child, Family, and Community Ministries.

General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing clinical services to individuals, couples, families, and groups in a co-occurring setting. 
  • Develops individualized treatment plan for each client per agency procedures. 
  • Provides a wide range of therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families and groups based on individualized assessment and treatment plans in conjunction with the treatment team.
  • Completes comprehensive psychological assessments on each client seen in keeping with professional standards of practice as well as DPW, DOH and other third party requirements.  
  • Childline and DHS FBI clearance results are required prior to beginning employment.

Education/Training: A Masters degree in psychology social work or counseling required; LMFT, LPC or LCSW preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years post Masters supervised clinical experience in an outpatient setting normally required; experience in a drug and alcohol or co-occurring setting required.

ADA: Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 25 lbs.; visual and auditory skills
