Requirements: 2 years of experience as a Produce Harvester or related position. Experience is required and must include the following: Operating tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and setting up PTO attachments to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops; Identifying varieties of fruit and when it is best to harvest the particular variety of fruit or vegetable by hand; Using Good Agricultural Practices and following the Farm Food Safety Plan by harvesting in a manner that does not contaminate the produce; and Recording the amount of produce harvested and inspecting sorting, loading and transporting produce by truck.Duties: Coordinate the activities of harvest crews, ensuring tasks such as pruning, spraying, and mowing are completed efficiently. Maintain orchards and fruit trees and supervise the planting of new trees. Oversee the packing and timely delivery of fruit to buyers. Arrange transportation for harvest teams to various farm locations as required, ensuring all operations adhere to safety and quality standards. Supervises Farmworkers and Laborers.
