MetLife Human Resource Generalist in Whippany, New Jersey
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing a variety of duties to support Business Leaders and Sr. HRBPs. This role requires a hands-on approach to handle the tactical components of HR, ensuring a positive employee experience and facilitating process requirements. They work closely with employees and Sr. HRBPs to address queries, provide HR policy guidance, and support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems. They hold themselves to high standards and are passionate about having a positive impact on the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Construct reports and use data to provide insights and trends to uncover issues and support decision making
Maintain data integrity and audit within HR systems; correcting any data issues with the HR Support team
Partner with CoEs and HRBPs on execution of annual processes (e.g. performance, talent, and compensation)
Partner with CoEs and HRBPs to execute strategic initiatives and programs to achieve business and enterprise goals
Work with business leaders and managers to implement impactful talent programs (i.e. internships, early career program, mentoring, and L&D) to prepare MetLife’s talent for the organization’s future
Respond to employees and leaders as the first line of HR on queries, practices, policies, escalating as appropriate
Partner across the organization to bring the company’s collective talent to projects and initiatives
Support senior HRBP on strategic people planning
Participate in special projects as requested

Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
3+ years relevant experience
Relevant HR Certification or Training
Experience working in Asset Management, Banking, or similar Financial Services firm
