Position Summary
Unified Communications USC Operator will provide the cable infrastructure, and internal and external networks necessary to deliver electronic information to, from, and among customers.
Individuals must be able to attain and maintain a valid US Government Secret security clearance to be retained in the position.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain telecommunications equipment including VoIP and network systems; perform configuration, updates, troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintenance in compliance with security and organizational policies and procedures
Support customer telephone and infrastructure requirements
Provides dial tone service (voice, data, IP) on government property to connect to any location worldwide
Provides Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) type telephones
Operates and maintains, Voice over Secure Internet Protocol (VoSIP) telephone and Unified Capabilities (UC) service
Provides telephone moves, adds, and changes for MCA/SRM/Projects other than construction
Provides local touch labor (troubleshooting, repairing, changing cable pairs, etc.)
Operates, and maintains digital, Voice over Secure Internet Protocol (VoSIP) telephone and UC service
Resolves Service Requests and User Incidents through remote administration actions (troubleshooting, repairing) that do not require touch labor
Operate and maintain the VoIP Local Session Controller for the installation infrastructure
Configure and install digital, Voice over Secure Internet Protocol (VoSIP) telephone and UC service
Provides voice messaging transmission, reception, and voice message storage 24 hours per day except for periodic maintenance downtime, accessible anywhere and anytime. Each IVMS shall be interoperable with DSN
Provides an IVMS service with interaction with DTMF signaling
Provides user security via pin/password management
Provides call answering with a personal greeting
Provides a call transfer and an escape feature. (If capability currently exists, the service is provided as Baseline
Customer pays for establishing upgrading or expanding service)
Installs phones in automatic call distribution (ACD) call group and set up switch programming/features
Provides local touch labor for troubleshooting and repair of mission-related tasks

Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field
Level II: 3-6 years' experience in an IT environment.
Level III: Minimum of 7 years' experience in an IT environment.
Possess or able to obtain an IAT Level III certification Security+, CCNA, UCS, Nortel, CISCO (CCNP, CCIE, SACS, CWCS, CCM), NEXUS, Nortel, IDS, Radius, VPN, DHCP, Solarwinds, Syslogs, CISCO-IP-phones, Protocols/Services, Netview.
Skill & Certification Requirements
Proficient with Cisco Switching
VoIP Systems
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Position requires sitting, for long periods of time. (Sedentary Work)
Most duties require extended use of a keyboard and computer monitor
Extended Telephone Use
May require lifting of 20-50 lbs

- 8570 compliant certification is required to be able to start and must be obtained prior to a hire date.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite.
Work Schedules: Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 5x8 hour day, 2 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $55,000 - $100,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Leader Communications considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
