Job Title: CNC Process Engineer

Job Description

Seeking a CNC Process Engineer responsible for owning part routings, machining processes for CNC machines, operator work instructions, inspection criteria, and other aspects of process control. The role involves creating and updating process documentation, specifying and ordering gages, tooling, and equipment, and systematically reducing machine set-up times. Additionally, the CNC Process Engineer will set up and operate machines when necessary, perform troubleshooting or repairs, complete mechanical and electrical root cause analyses for equipment failures, perform equipment validation or calibration, and develop countermeasures for quality issues. The successful candidate will also train and audit machine operators and serve as a technical point of contact.

Skills

• 3 years experience programming and setup of CNC lathes/mills

• Swiss lathe experience

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Experience in lean manufacturing principles

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Environment

This position is based in a union shop environment within a department of 3 Technicians, totaling 10-12 members. The standard working hours are 1st shift, 6am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday, with optional overtime available.
