Position Summary

The Psychology Department, part of the College of Sciences and Mathematics, seeks to advance the discipline of Psychology as an area of scholarly, professional, and scientific endeavor in a diverse and inclusive environment. Our primary focus is to provide a high quality, liberal-arts education wherein students and faculty members exchange ideas stemming from a variety of viewpoints in an environment of mutual respect, collaboration, and equity. We actively engage in the discovery and dissemination of knowledge in the behavioral sciences and encourage research and scholarship by both the faculty and student body. 

 

The Temporary Faculty member will primarily serve as a clinical supervisor for PsyD students training in the Community Mental Health Services clinic. This involves meeting face-to-face with individual supervisees on a weekly basis and reviewing clinical recordings and notes between sessions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to PsyD students' developmental needs.

 

The appointment is for Fall 2025. The workload is dependent on departmental needs. There may be the opportunity of contract renewal in the following semester(s). 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide clinical supervision to first and/or second year PsyD students who are seeing clients within the Community Mental Health Services clinic
  • Meet in person for a minimum of 1 hour per week with each supervisee for individual supervision for therapy cases
  • Review, revise, and sign all documentation, notes, reports
  • Review recordings or live sessions to provide supervisory feedback
  • Mentor PsyD students

     

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Possess licensure as a Psychologist in Pennsylvania
  • Experience practicing as a licensed psychologist

     

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience providing clinical supervision to students; and/or
  • Experience working with clients of diverse ages; and/or* *
  • Experience providing therapy and assessment services

     

Special Instructions

 

Salary per three-credit course is* *$6,941.42
