Description

In this Controller role, you will assist with cash management, month-end close processes, billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, sales tax reporting, preparation of monthly financial statements, cost accounting, bank reconciliations, budget creation, and oversee and lead a finance department ensuring financial systems that are in place generate revenue and yield to compliance with US GAAP. This Controller will also be responsible for maintaining the organization’s financial health, enforcing a system of controls that minimize risks and accomplishes budget obligations. We are looking for a candidate who can drive cash generation, improve financial accounting systems, and provide management with the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.

Major Responsibilities

· Review and manage accounting operations

· Oversee the month end close process

· Develop financial strategies

· Prepare financial statements and reports

· Account Reconciliations

· Consolidate financial data

· Build strong banking/insurance relationships

· Internal Control Monitoring

· Assist with internal/external audit preparation

· Regulatory Compliance

· Coach, Train, Mentor financial staff

Requirements

The ideal Controller will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar.

Other requirements for the Controller role include and are not limited to:

· 10+ years’ of management experience in the accounting field

· MBA, CPA preferred

· Advanced Microsoft Office skills

· QuickBooks preferred

· Strong GAAP knowledge

· Excellent financial reporting technical skills
