Crops/Commodities: apples, blueberries, strawberries.

Drive heavy trucks to/from delivery or pickup destinations, and to haul crops from field to packing facility. Regularly climb into and out of trucks and trailers. Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure. Secure cargo for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, binders, or covers. Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy. Maneuver trucks into and out of loading and unloading positions. Load-unload trailers and cargo. Handle equipment and cargo carefully to prevent damage. Drive trucks in compliance with state regulations. Interact with roadway officials. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection and paperwork on trucks and trailers. Clean/maintain lights, windows, and mirrors, and vehicle exterior. Add engine oil and fuel as needed. Perform preventative maintenance. Must be able to drive in rain, snow, and other hazardous conditions as needed. Drive in both on-road (paved) and off-road conditions. May drive other vehicle types. Use GPS and/or maps to navigate to destinations. Read/comprehend traffic signage and directions. Load/unload product. Prepare orders for shipping. Keep material and product records accurately.

Delivery driver will be able to return to their residence or employer-provided housing within the same work day.

Requirements:

• Workers referred as a result of this order must have a minimum of 12 months verifiable experience.
• Driving Requirement. Must have a CDL and maintain a valid CDL.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, repetitive movements, and extensive pushing / pulling.
• Extensive walking and frequent stooping.
• Lifting requirement of 60 lbs.
• Must pass a post-employment road test to gauge driving ability. Employer uniformly conducts a post-employment DOT physical, drug screen, MVR background check and motor vehicle records check at no cost to the worker.
• Must have proficiency in English to communicate, read/comprehend traffic signage, and interact with roadway officials.
• Must have clean driving record. Must have no disqualifying factors under applicable law or employer's motor vehicle insurance policy.
