National Fuel Gas Measurement & Regulation Technician - Washington, PA in Washington, Pennsylvania

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installation and maintenance of gas system pressure regulation equipment, gas measurement/metering equipment, electronic flow control devices, mainline control valves, and system odorization equipment. 
  • Assist with gas system shutdowns as part of both routine maintenance activities, replacement work, and during emergencies. 
  • Respond to call outs involving gas system flow control and pressure regulation.

     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's Degree in Electronics or equivalent work experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • An understanding of pressure systems, gas flow, purging, pilot operated regulators, regulator stations, orifice metering, and pneumatic control systems
  • Prior experience in the installation, repair and troubleshooting of electronic pneumatic and mechanical equipment is essential
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and around potentially hazardous and/or difficult to reach areas
  • Basic literacy is required.  Ability to read, accurately interpret and analyze written information and legibly prepare written documentation
  • Possess basic level of computer literacy, view and interpret maps/records, learn new software systems and electronic field applications
  • Valid driver's license

     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working as a Gas Measurement & Regulation Technician

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • Candidates must be able to work the following schedule:

Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00am -- 4:30pm

  • This shift could also include after-hours, call outs, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Applicants must live within a reasonable commute of the Buffalo Compressor Station, located at 169 Coffeys Crossing Rd, Washington PA 15301.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This is a position within the Company's collective bargaining unit with an hourly rate of pay.

  • Starting rate of pay $36.43/hour
  • After 6 months $37.43/hour
  • After one year $39.39/hour
