MAJOR DUTIES:
As a proactive member of the Finance Team, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for accounting, controls, and performance management of Accounts Payable functions. Accuracy and meeting deadlines while operating within company policies and procedures is critical for this position.
The position will also support our Supply Chain Team with analysis and reporting. Demonstration of relationship skills establishing the accounting function as a value-add to Supply Chain is required.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting (50%)
Lead person on SOX compliance requirements for reporting controls
Reconciliations and accruals for system inventory, AP, and system generated purchases of materials and indirect expenses
Maintaining control of dashboards for AP and purchase orders
ERP expertise on revenue and costing configurations
Accounts payable (25%)
Partnering with Procurement and Logistics to ensure accurate and “just In time” weekly payment of non-payroll obligations are made for materials, indirect, and employee expenses
Ensure 3-way match is in place on purchase order, receiver, and vendor invoice
Organization and archiving of all payment documentation
Supply Chain Support (25%)
Inventory analysis of vendors, product lines, and parts
Manufacturing controllable expense analysis by department
Revenue forecasting for percentage of completion and complete contract revenue streams
Key Characteristics:
Self-driver with a willingness to wear multiple hats and grow with the company
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are a must; also, must have a thorough understanding of business processes and internal controls
Ability to lead, motive and coach employees
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
CPA or MBA preferred
Public Accounting experience a plus
Understanding of GAAP or IFRS
Experience:
Minimum of five years of accounting experience
Experience with process design and implementation in accounting area
Strong background in accounting and processing of AP payments
Strong work ethic, verbal/written communication, and partnering skills
Experience working with small-midsize industrial companies, either as a public-accountant to, or an employee for those organizations
Experience with PoC – Percentage of Completion Accounting
Adept with ERP systems, Global Shop Solutions and OneStream is a plus
Experience as an accountant or analyst looking to take the next step in their career
Experience in a manufacturing company and/or publicly traded company experience a plus
