Actalent Mechanical Project Engineer in Warminster, Pennsylvania
Actalent Engineering Services is in search of an experience mechanical or manufacturing engineer that will be in charge of leading production process initiatives within a high volume environment. The ideal candidate will have experience leading the manufacturing or process side of the business while having the knowledge of product development pertaining to design feasibility and plant layouts.
Duties:
· Process improvement to increase yield, decrease downtime, reduce production costs, etc.
· Perform high level troubleshooting to optimize efficiency, safety, quality, and downtime
· Provide equipment and process support to manufacturing
· Train and instruct maintenance, production and quality personnel
· Project engineering/management, including: developing scope of work, engineering drawings, technical specifications, schedule, and job costing.
· Research alternatives and recommend optimal solutions to assigned projects
· Manage equipment suppliers, internal resources and outside vendors and contractors to meet project goals
Qualifications:
· Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
· 3-5+ years’ process improvement experience; Lean and/or Six Sigma experience a plus
· 3-5+ years’ experience in a high volume manufacturing environment; experience working with production teams to resolve issues as they arise
· 3-5+ year’s Project Engineering / Management experience for manufacturing
