NY1523136 Building Maintenance Worker needed for the Madison County Facilities Department in Wampsville, NY.

Hire Rate: $23.92/hr; 40 hrs/wk

Madison County is currently recruiting for Building Maintenance Workers for the County Facilities Department. The work involves responsibility for performing a variety of semi-skilled building maintenance and repair activities. Although a working knowledge of one or more trades is required, a Building Maintenance Worker does not use higher level skilled techniques for any considerable amount of time. The work is performed under either general or direct supervision, dependent upon the nature of the activity. Supervision may be exercised over the work of subordinate personnel. A Building Maintenance Worker does related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) years of full-time paid experience, or its part-time equivalent, in general building maintenance work; or in one or more of the mechanical or construction trades; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Possession of an appropriate driver's license issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles is required at the time of appointment and maintenance of said license for the duration of appointment.
