Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, including financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies. Generate timely and accurate financial reports for management review.

  • Month-End Close:Support the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals. Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented.

  • General Ledger Maintenance:Maintain the integrity of the general ledger system. Review and reconcile GL accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed.

  • Audit and Compliance:Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits. Ensure compliance with internal controls. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Financial Analysis:Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes. Analyze trends, variances, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Team Leadership:Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental objectives.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget variances and provide insights to management on financial performance as needed.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA designation preferred.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • 2+ years of Audit experience in a Public Acounting firm is preferred.

  • Experience in the Manufacturing or Consumer Products industry is a plus.

  • Systems Implementation experience is a plus .
