Description

The Automation Electrician I is responsible for leading and building small to medium size projects by assembling, installing, testing and maintaining electrical equipment.

Pay Range: $20.00-$30.00/hr

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications, to determine dimensions for cabinets, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

  • Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve wiring or assembly problems.

  • Make modifications to as-built prints and communicate with engineers on additional details essential to project success.

  • Aid with suggestions on basic component purchases (wire-way, terminal blocks, etc.).

  • Responsible for Panel Build including drill and tap holes, mount components, and wire devices.

  • Assemble pneumatic air prep units and valve banks.

  • Ensure proper machine operation.

  • Aids with machine debug.

  • Observe safety procedures.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area

  • Any other task assigned by management within scope of position, federal and state regulations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Vocational or Associate degree or higher in related field.

  • 2 or more years’ work experience in a related field.

  • Travel up to 30% of time for project installs, domestic and international.

  • Effective verbal and written communication.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures.

  • Ability to write reports.

  • Time management

  • Ability to work independently and as a team.

  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math: add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, percentages.

  • Ability to apply concepts of basic electrical fundamentals.
