Job Description

We are looking for a Manager, Pre-analytical Operations (40 hours per week) in our Valhalla, NY location.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8: 30 am - 5: 00 pm

As a manager you are responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Assist and executing directions and plans delegated by Director / Upper Management
• Assisting and resolving issues, concerns and grievances of employees
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff
• Ability to change schedule to meet department workflow needs. Oversee department until department closing time.
• Assigns workloads and realigns tasks within the department
• Responsible for day-to-day operations, ensure efficient operations of the department
• Enforce compliance of employees for both department and company policies
• Ensure all department SOPs are up to date
• Develop/Implement training/re-training methods
• Review and approve timesheets. Control unnecessary overtime
• Ensure employee schedules accommodate department workflow
• Perform training and competency review for employees
• Hold staff meetings
• Problem solving
• Respond to email inquiries in a timely fashion
• Multi-task simultaneously
• Meet deadlines for projects
• Ability to plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the department.
• Manage administrative functions
• Ensure department performance goals are set and met
• Responsible for making real time decisions on what department needs due to workflow to meet turnaround time of department
• Responsible for ensuring employees are provided with guidance and directing employees to achieve department goals by producing quality, error free work
• Authority to hire. Cannot terminate or promote without consulting with Upper Management
• Cannot make significant changes to department goals / direction without consulting with Upper Management
• Responsible for the high-level success of the department as a whole
• Identify, develop, plan and implement programs for quality process improvement
• Any / all other tasks / functions delegated by upper management

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $80, 000.00/Yr. - USD $110, 000.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
