Description We are seeking a meticulous Cash Application Specialist to join our team in the Manufacturing industry, located in UTICA, New York. As a Cash Application Specialist, you will be responsible for handling tasks related to cash applications, credit applications, and maintaining customer credit records. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency.

• Maintain and update customer credit records on a regular basis.

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and initiate action for delinquent payments.

• Apply cash collected from the collections team accurately.

• Send out credit applications for approval in a timely manner.

• Utilize Man/Man (similar to AS400) and Oracle for various tasks.

• Maintain a thorough knowledge of both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Handle the processing of credit memos as per requirements.

• Ensure accurate and efficient cash applications processes. Requirements • Proficiency in using Oracle for various financial operations

• Experience with cash applications in a manufacturing environment

• Understanding of credit memo processing and adjustments

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Familiarity with financial regulations and standards in the manufacturing industry

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field

• Professional certification in finance or accounting is a plus.
