JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The College of Education is seeking an Administrative Assistant to assist the students and faculty of the Professional Personnel Development Center for Career and Technical Education (PPDC).

The PPDC provides outreach to the commonwealth's secondary technical education system and other providers in Pennsylvania's workforce development system. The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in those efforts through academic and administrative support.

Complex tasks with minimal supervision that the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for include but are not limited to:

Coordinate and assist with planning of non-credit, off-campus, or online professional development programs and events for Career and Technical Educators.

Build and maintain accurate and up-to-date course schedules in LionPath (Penn State's student information system).

Disseminate information for requests concerning Pennsylvania Career and Technical Certifications.

Support intakes for all new applicants applying for Pennsylvania Career and Technical Certification.

Serve as PPDC designee to affirm and recommend candidates for state certification.

Assist students with course selection and registration in courses required for Career and Technical teaching certificates credentials.

Facilitate Occupational Competency Assessment programming in coordination with the executive director.

Support tenure-track and adjunct faculty members.

Education and Experience: This position will be filled as an Administrative Assistant at the level of Intermediate Support, which requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) for education and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Applicants must have prior experience maintaining spreadsheets, along with using Microsoft Excel (or similar software). Basic proficiency with more of the Microsoft Office 365 suite is also required.

More Information: After the initial onsite training period, this position can work fully onsite or in a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

This is a non-exempt and limited-termposition,funded for one year from date of hire with an excellent possibility of re-funding. PPDC at Penn State has received continuous funding for over 40 years from the Pennsylvania Department of Education - Bureau of Career and Technical Education.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is: $38,300.00 - $55,500.00
