Flushing Bank Operations Technical Analyst in Uniondale, New York

General Statement of Duties:

Application Management responsibilities include providing user access, user maintenance, and end user support. Additional tasks include ensuring systems are functioning properly, maintenance of applications, system testing, parameter changes, and collaborating with partners for upgrades, and system patches.

Preparation of documents and reports related to application management including writing narratives and providing samples for audit and preparing SSAE18 Complimentary User Entity Controls. Communicate with vendors through a vendor ticket system or other methods to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Ensure files shared between vendors are functioning properly where applicable. Communicate issues via a bank wide platform and escalate to management as appropriate.

Serves as a partner to retail branches and department business units to gather, analyze, communicate, and validate business requirements for processes, policies, procedures, and information systems. Provides guidance to integrate operating processes, technology, and internal controls in accordance with regulations. Support strategic and internal department projects to enhance efficiencies and support strategic objectives.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Application Management 90%

  • Manage access requests, user deletions and password resets for various assigned applications
  • Perform and/or validate rate change processes in both UAT and Production environments for digital platform
  • Initiate and implement best practices for performing application reviews that effectively address control areas
  • Perform and document control reviews of assigned applications including ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Conduct analysis, provide relevant data and make recommendations to improve efficiencies and work as part of a team responsible for ongoing process improvement efforts
  • Adhere to the Information Security policy and work with vendors to align system access settings with bank policy. When it is not practical to update the system to meet bank requirements, obtain internal acceptance per policy.
  • Work across business lines and external vendors to improve line of business applications
  • Perform annual due diligence on assigned applications, including SSAE18 reviews and user access control certifications, partnering with business unit managers, and ensuring management signoff Analyze, research, document and escalate application issues to vendor, communicate with vendors regarding service levels and issues, inform management timely.
  • Proactively review, test, and communicate system upgrades, patches, parameter changes and new system rollouts to ensure system meets business requirements and maintains integrity.
  • Create requests for system change controls while ensuring all change management policies and procedures are being applied

Project Management - 10%

*Serve as project manager and/or subject matter expert in support of process improvements and efficiencies. * Formulate and define project scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree preferred or 3+ years equivalent knowledge and experience Experience with banking systems and processes preferred Experience with Mantl and Q2 applications a plus

Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000 Hours: 37.50 This is an exempt position. The actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience and other factors permitted by law. EOE, including Disabled and Veterans
