Stone Yard Laborer - Tunkhannock, PA 18657

Job Summary:

A Stone Laborer is responsible for physically handling and preparing stone for orders and shipment, including lifting, transporting, cutting, and cleaning stones under the direction of a skilled stone manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload stone deliveries from trucks using appropriate lifting equipment.
• Transport stones to designated work areas on the stone yard or production shop.
• Assist in cutting and shaping stones using hand tools and power tools as needed.
• Thermaling stone to create a textured surface.
• Clean stone surfaces to remove debris and prepare them for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in stone handling, production or quarrying is preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects consistently.
• Ability to operate forklifts and skid steers.
• Good hand-eye coordination and basic math skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
