Leading the Way: The Lead Full Stack Software Engineer

The Lead Full Stack Software Engineer, a pivotal role within the AI Engineering team, spearheads the design, development, and deployment of critical software architectural components and solutions. Collaborating closely with architects, product owners, and fellow engineers, this individual ensures the seamless integration and optimal performance of these solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, design, and develop API based system-to-system integrations with Humana Data as Service Platform, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Humana Identity and Access Management

  • Support cloud infrastructure lifecycle management automation leveraging Infrastructure as Code principles and framework on Azure

  • Own software code repositories, lead product technical design sessions, code review and accept pull requests

  • Collaborate with QA on functional, performance, and security testing

  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical customer escalations on technical, stability, and performance issues  

  • Collaborate and Influence peer architects with knowledge sharing sessions. Training and mentoring engineers

Required Experience Skills

  • 3 years of Azure or AWS or GCP cloud services platforms

  • 5 years of Webservices/Microservices API development using Java plus Spring Boot, and Scala

  • 5 years of database development experience with any one of SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, RedShift, or MongoDB

  • Experience with building stream-processing systems with any one of Kafka, Rabbit MQ, Pulsar, or Flink

  • Security -- Hands-on experience with user authentication and authorization with SSO, MSAL, and OAuth. In depth knowledge of data encryption and encryption key management protocols 

  • Enterprise Security Compliance - In depth understanding of enterprise network and infrastructure security, data security, governance, and privacy requirements for HIPAA, and SOC compliance 

  • DevOps -- hands-on experience with modern CICD automation eco-systems such as Azure DevOps and pipelines, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, AWS Cloud Formation, Kubernetes, GitHub, and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  • 8 or more years of progressive IT experience as a senior developer in large IT projects

  • 2 or more years of project leadership experience

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

  • Master's Degree

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$126,800 - $174,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
