Humana Associate Director, Partner Channel Inside Sales in Trenton, New Jersey

Are you passionate about the Medicare population and looking for a role in healthcare leadership with a focus on working with the brokerage channel? If so, we are looking for highly motivated and self-driven individuals to join our team. As an Associate Director, Partner Channel Inside Sales, you will support Humana's production goals by leading and guiding the Broker Relationship Executives and overseeing agent and external customer relationships. You will also provide strategic and tactical guidance and performance direction to ensure all sales goals are met or exceeded.

The Associate Director, Partner Channel is tasked with achieving regional sales targets by leading a team of 13-17 Broker Relationship Executives (BREs). This role involves both the cultivation of new agent relationships and the enhancement of existing ones to meet sales goals. Working in close collaboration with Regional Sales Directors and Broker Relationship Managers assigned to their region, the Associate Director plays a pivotal role in driving external sales and growth, both regionally and nationally. This is achieved through effective management and assessment of BRE activities, providing coaching where necessary, and developing a national strategy in collaboration with other BRE Associate Directors. Additionally, the Associate Director manages resources to achieve not only sales and growth results but also operational goals, which include clinical engagement, bid planning, retention, provider engagement, and Humana Pharmacy utilization. Budgetary resources are also under the purview of this role. Furthermore, the development of external market and national engagement and sales strategies are coordinated with BRMs, the BRE team, managers, and the operations team. The role also involves identifying opportunities for strategic and/or process improvements, leading and/or participating in cross-functional teams to enhance processes and strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Health and Life insurance licenses

  • 6 or more years of sales and/or account management experience

  • 2 or more years of management experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal or relationship building skills

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ideal applicant would be located in FL

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field

  • General understanding of economic, financial, and operational concepts

  • Prior management experience in a sales environment

  • Experience within the health insurance industry

Work-At-Home Requirements

  • To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended to support Humana applications, per associate.

  • Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL connection is suggested.

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if they provide an optimal connection for associates. The use of these methods must be approved by leadership. (See Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL Connection in Exceptions, Section 7.0 in this policy.)

  • Humana will not pay for or reimburse Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates for any portion of the cost of their self-provided internet service, with the exception of associates who live or work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$75,000 - $103,200 per yearThis job is eligible for a commission incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
