Instrument & Controls Designer

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

KBR is looking for an Instrument & Controls Designer with a strong knowledge of instruments associated with industrial & chemical processing equipment with interest in engineering design work. This could also be a good fit for a recent graduate of a CAD training program. The selected candidate will work with, and be mentored by, Senior Designers at the site that will teach the CAD software and acting as a resource for any technical questions.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Knowledge of instrumentation associated with industrial & chemical processing equipment- OR – an associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrument/Controls Technology, certified CAD Training program

  • AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred

  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to plan, prioritize, and implement multiple, concurrent projects or activities.

  • Good communication & documentation of work products are essential
