DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a County Drug & Alcohol Program Assistant Administrator, you will assist with the development and implementation of the SCA's prevention and treatment plans and updates based on information obtained in the Prevention and Treatment Needs Assessment.  You will work closely with fiscal staff to manage available funds for all services provided, in addition to directing the submission of in-house prevention or treatment data and the analysis of all data from in-house and contracted service providers.

This professional develops guidelines, administrative policies, procedures, and protocols associated with organizational planning, program administration, inter-office coordination, data reporting and management, personnel administration, supervision, and general administration associated with program delivery.  You may also oversee other managerial functions that include fiscal management, grant writing, developing and evaluating requests for proposals, the contracting process, monitoring of contracted service providers, and the coordination of SCA and provider training needs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours/week. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Hours may vary due to after hour appointments, travel, or other responsibilities. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. *  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY*

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A Master's Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in medicine, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a specialty in nursing/health administration, nursing/counseling education or a clinical specialty in the human services) or other behavioral sciences, public administration or business management and two (2) years of professional experience providing direct service and/or program planning in a human service agency, including one (1) year supervising human service professionals;or A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a specialty in nursing/health administration, nursing/counseling education or a clinical specialty in the human services) or other behavioral sciences, public administration or business management and four (4) years of professional experience providing direct service and/or program planning in a human service agency, including one (1) year supervising human service professionals; or An Associate's Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a specialty in nursing/health administration, nursing/counseling education or a clinical specialty in the human services) or other behavioral sciences, public administration or business management nd six (6) years of professional experience providing direct service and/or program planning in a human service agency, including one (1) year supervising human service professionals.

Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.  . You must be able to perform essential job functions.
