US Tech Solutions Chemical Inventory and Waste Management Specialist in Totowa, New Jersey

The Chemical Inventory and Waste Management Specialist will be responsible for managing manufacturing (MFG) chemical requests, maintaining inventory, ensuring proper handling and disposal of chemical waste, and supporting chemical operations across MFG, Research & Development (R&D), and Engineering (EGN) teams. The specialist will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining proper documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor chemical processes and test product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.

  • Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration.

  • Plan and place chemical orders quarterly for MFG and R&D.

  • Maintain inventory for receiving and outbound chemicals.

  • Fulfill internal requests for chemicals from MFG, R&D, and EGN departments.

  • Prepare chemicals as per MFG demand and customer orders.

  • Ensure accurate labeling and documentation, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hazard labels.

  • Manage chemical waste, ensuring timely transfer from tanks and satellite locations.

  • Follow and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Participate in safety programs and audits.

  • Properly handle and store chemicals and hazardous materials.

Experience:

  • Familiarity with handling a broad range of chemicals for storage and disposal.

  • Experience in chemical inventory management and placing orders.

  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Maintain chemical inventory by logging into the received and outbound chemicals.

  • Prepare and fulfill chemical orders for MFG and customers.

  • Manage chemical waste disposal and compliance.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or Associate’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
