DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Volunteer Resource Coordinator is an administrative position responsible for establishing, coordinating, and administering the Volunteer Resource Program at Torrance State Hospital. You will assist the hospital and its departments in identifying needs for volunteers, developing community comprehension of the needs of the hospital, and facilitating opportunities for volunteers to participate with the hospital.

This position acts as the site coordinator for voter registration services per the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) and Pennsylvania State Law, ensuring staff are properly trained and supplies are maintained to deliver services.

You will also serve as the point of contact with the Community Foundation of the Alleghenies for non-profit business matters. Additionally, this position will coordinate fundraisers, research grant and public charity funds, develop and implement solicitation strategies, and monitor and evaluate both the Indigent Patient Fund and Unity Towards Hope dedicated fund. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime and travel required as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience directing or coordinating the activities of volunteers, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, public relations, social work, or a related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
