As a Custodial Worker 1, you will be responsible for the housekeeping care of buildings, equipment, and furniture of Torrance State Hospital. Your duties will include cleaning all restrooms, shower rooms, patient dorms, day wards, hallways, offices, and other areas of the hospital. You will also participate in the annual cleaning of walls, windows, screens, lights, curtains, blinds, and ceilings. Your work will include lifting, climbing ladders, and the operation and cleaning of all housekeeping equipment. Additionally, you will unpack and distribute linens as necessary.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Temporary full-time employment, approximately 6-11 months Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Sunday - Saturday, with rotating weekends and 30-minute lunch. You will work approximately every fourth weekend with days off during the week. You may have to work overtime as needed. You may have to travel as needed. This may change based on operational needs. QUALIFICATIONS Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
