In this role, you will assist in investigating and developing AI Governance principles as well as help to define proposed approach for AI Inventory categorizations.
Responsibilities:
Investigate AI governance and AI Inventory as it relates to AI & Ethics
With the goal of establishing the HOW to effectively create the foundation for AI governance, and AI Inventory, identify and propose the core elements for a repeatable process within healthcare space.
Work with the stakeholders to layout topics for learning and understanding along this journey – including but not limited to a definition of bias, processes to check for bias and proposed remediation to issues which arise from bias.
Actively support and collaborate with the AI & Ethics team with department processes, procedures, and deliverables.
Track and develop understanding of:
AI
AI & Ethics regulations pertaining to best practices regarding the use and integrity of AI.
Associated AI/AI & Ethics issues related thereto, for bio/pharma industry organizations.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Be currently pursuing a degree in discipline which works with data at a high level – e.g., Bioethics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Informatics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Public Policy, Epidemiology, Political Science, Social Science.
Have an understanding of AI & Ethics.
Possess strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills (technical and/or business).
Ability to work individually (independently) as well as on a team.
Be highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
Candidates must be available to work full-time during the internship.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (including SharePoint/Teams), Zoom
Have demonstrated leadership/participation in campus programs and/or community service activities.
Be enrolled in an accredited College/Institution pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$22 per hour to $51.50 per hour
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The anticipated base pay for this position is between $22 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime eligible. Intern/Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time, holiday pay, and the Company’s consolidated retirement plan in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Housing stipend will be offered for those that qualify. This position is ineligible for severance.
