Job Title: Sales Manager

Department: Sales

Reports to: Director of Sales

The Sales Manager is responsible for effectively soliciting and becoming familiar with all accounts in his/her market segments. He/she is also responsible for prospecting and closing on assigned accounts/ territory to positively impact the hotel.

 

How I can Create Guests for Life:

  • Actively recruit and retain top talent for the resort team.
  • Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and SOP's and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policies by the sales team.
  • Drive sales and revenue growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the resort's customer base
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations, to align strategies and maximize sales opportunities
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the curve and capitalize on emerging opportunities
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting performance and recommending strategies for improvement
  • Assist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments, i.e parties, sales blitzes, etc.

Is this the job for me:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
  • 4 years of progressive hotel sales experience without a college degree; or 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience with bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field.
  • This may include weekends and early morning, or late evening work and holidays.
  • During peak seasons, the schedule may require a work week schedule over 40 hours per week, including nights.
  • Proven track record of success with hospitality/resort/hotel related sales
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Results-oriented mindset with a drive for achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities and recommend effective solutions
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry and market trends
  • Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems
  • Ability to work in a fun, fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of our guests.
  • Must be able to speak and read the English language, additional languages a plus.
