Robert Half Controller in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania

Description

Recognized manufacturer, located outside of the Lehigh Valley is in need of a skilled Controller with thorough cost accounting expertise. In this role, you will oversee all financial activities including the month end closing process, assist with cost variances, provide financial analysis, create audit schedules, manage the physical inventory process, monitor accounts receivable/payable, assist with annual tax return preparation, prepare financial statements, and create the annual budget plan. This position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and attention to detail to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Major Responsibilities

· Manage the daily accounting operations

· Perform financial analysis

· Cost Accounting

· Budgeting & Forecasting

· Oversee monthly/quarterly and year-end closing

· Prepare financial statements

· Coordinate extern and internal audits

· Provide documentation for annual tax returns

· Internal Control Monitoring

· Comply with local, state, and federal regulations

Requirements

The ideal Controller will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar.

Other requirements for the Controller role include and are not limited to:

· 5+ years of manufacturing accounting including cost experience

· CPA preferred

· Supervisory background expertise required

· Any ERP experience a plus
