Together we deliver systems all around the world and the markets for our products are constantly growing.Position SummaryThe Production Supervisor - Base Tube Assembly (BTA) plays a key role in achieving department objectives by leading and managing staff, optimizing workflow, and ensuring production aligns with the established schedule. This hands-on leadership role requires proficiency in all duties and tasks related to the BTA team. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining efficiency, quality, and safety while driving continuous improvement initiatives.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Team Leadership & Performance Management:Supervise and support BTA team members, ensuring productivity and adherence to production goals.Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and mentorship to enhance employee performance.Organize workflow, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure clarity of responsibilities.Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees.Production & Process Management:Facilitate daily, weekly, monthly standups.Determine priorities daily, allocate work assignments and communicate expectations.Maintain adequate stock levels of consumables, departmental supplies, and Kanban items.Ensure employees adhere to Global Shop methods when clocking in and out of labor steps.Maintain accurate records and report weekly department metrics to the Director of Prototype.Quality & Safety Compliance:Ensure a safe working environment for all employees, identifying and correcting unsafe conditions in a timely fashion (complete and accurate training records (OSHA, SOPs, work instructions etc.).Conduct disciplinary actions when necessary to uphold performance standards.Ensure all equipment, supplies, and products meet the quality and safety standards.Cross Departmental Collaboration:Communicate with other departments to align best practices for product creation.Coordinate with supervisory staff to address production needs and challenges.Additional Responsibilities:Work towards hands-on approach to demonstrate proficiency in BTA Assembler and BTA Machinist duties.Undertake additional tasks assigned to support department and company objectives.Act as a present and thoughtful leader to the BTA staff, facilitating a positive employee experience.Provide employee coaching and development.Other duties as assignedQualifications and Education RequirementsHigh school diploma/GED; Associate degree or Two-year technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; One to two years of supervisory experience highly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have prior knowledge or experience in manufacturing, and/or related fields. Must be proficient in reading and understanding mechanical drawings and blueprints. Minimum Salary: 24 Maximum Salary: 38 Salary Unit: Hourly
