Job Summary:

In support of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider Hospitalist to join our Golisano Children’s Inpatient Team caring for patients admitted to the Pediatric Hospitalist services. The Golisano Children’s Hospital serves a 22-county region providing a complete range of Health Care Services for children from Birth to 19 years.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert level clinical care and coordination of care to Interventional Radiology patients.
Conduct inpatient and outpatient encounters at both the Downtown and Community campuses, providing education to and interfacing with primary teams, patients, and families.
Assess and evaluate patients, order and interpret laboratory tests & diagnostic studies, and arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, referring physicians, and all members of the health care team.
As an APP, you will be an integral member of the Pediatrics Hospitalist Healthcare Team, demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and a commitment to Upstate’s mission, vision, and values, while adhering to all institutional policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant or eligible.
NYS Licensed/Registered NP or PA.
Current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice.
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.
CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
Must successfully pass pre-employment and credentialing clearances.
Preferred Qualifications:
Inpatient and pediatric experience preferred.

12 Hour Shifts
