Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Load empty pallets onto the finished product drop zone and ensure the ice machine is properly staging finished product.
  • Complete documentation such as, weight log, downtime log, and daily sanitation records in accordance with food safety, GMPs, and Weis Markets policies and procedures.
  • Ensure ice machine is properly supplied with bags for production.
  • Utilize a powered industrial pallet jack to take finished products from the ice production machine to the stretch wrapper for final packaging. Training and certification will be provided through Weis Markets.
  • Take completed pallets of bagged ice from the stretch wrapper to freezer storage areas for holding.
  • Stage pallets for shipment to the Weis Markets distribution center where the product will be dispersed based upon location demand.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed or working towards High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
