Aerotek Commercial Electrician in State College, Pennsylvania
Job Title: Journeyman Electrician
Location: Lock Haven, PA
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6:30am - 3:30pm
Pay: $25 - 35/hr
Job Description
We are seeking skilled and experienced journeyman electricians to join our team in Lock Haven, PA. This role involves a mixture of work throughout local industrial facilities and occasional travel to State College for projects at Penn State University. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in commercial and industrial settings, with a strong experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Perform electrical testing and diagnostics to identify and resolve issues
Install and connect wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards
Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and systems, including motors, transformers, and control systems
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Essential Skills
At least 5 years of electrical experience
Ability to work in commercial and industrial settings
Blueprint reading and PLC troubleshooting
Experience with automated equipment, motor control, conduit bending, and arc flash
Additional Skills & Qualifications
OSHA 10 certification is required prior to starting the job, but candidates can obtain it during the hiring process
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and maintenance
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Good communication and interpersonal skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
