DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform a variety of tasks to maintain buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment. This will include carpentry, plumbing, heating, and masonry. You will use power tools, paint supplies, and snow removal equipment. This role relies on your proven ability to prioritize work and determine methods that will maintain resident and staff safety, while effectively completing repairs. In addition, you will use a hand radio, operate a motor vehicle, and work in various weather conditions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work every other weekend. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,785 (before taxes). QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the required knowledges, skills, and abilities. Special Requirements:

This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required): Experience in commercial carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC trades Experience in commercial and structural maintenance of buildings and equipment Experience working with 3-phase wiring to include emergency generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, switch gears and 3-phase panels Experience working with domestic hot water mixing valves, recirculating loops, aqua stats, and instantaneous water heaters Experience with the provisions of Life Safety Codes and Uniform Construction Code (UCC), as it relates to repairs of buildings Experience in the maintenance and repair of building at a long term care facility

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
