Come join the DMVA team, apply today!   DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Food Service Worker 1, you will perform routine work in the preparation of meals and sanitation of food preparation and serving areas at the Southeastern Veterans' Center. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, pans, work surfaces, and other kitchen items. Additional duties will include preparing trays, measuring portions, serving food, and transporting trays, carts and nourishment. You will also use equipment such as mixers, dicers, slicers, knives, grinders.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment (8.0 hours/day; 80 hours/biweekly) Work hours are 1st Shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM), with 30-minute lunch. Rotating days and weekends. Preferred Qualifications (not required): Previous food service worker experience preferred. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act: Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
