DESCRIPTION OF WORK This pivotal role involves preventing and combating fires, conducting thorough building inspections, developing comprehensive emergency response plans, and carrying out related activities within state-owned or operated buildings or a Department of Human Services facility. As the Fire and Safety Marshal, you will be required to use a Commonwealth vehicle to conduct meticulous fire safety inspections, covering all buildings, grounds, and resident and non-resident areas to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of experience in fire fighting or fire prevention work; and graduation from a standard high school or vocational school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements: You must have possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

Conditions of Employment:

Employees must obtain Hazardous Material Operations, CPR and AED certifications from an accredited organization within one year of hire.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
