Work for this position is primarily performed at the laboratory bench, in biosafety cabinets, and at a computer in the lab. The Principal Scientist will be responsible for maintaining the Lab and the below tasks.

  • Prepare and create test article extracts, test solutions, quality controls, and standards in accordance with directions.

  • Efficiently carry out procedures necessary to complete each project with minimal supervision.

  • Actively assist in development and execution of novel testing protocols and overall assay development.

  • Meticulously maintain precise records in accordance with good laboratory practices.

  • Assist in writing of reports.

  • Follow all PSL safety requirements.

  • Oversee all laboratory assays and day to day procedures.

  • Create and maintain the lab’s testing schedule.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • At least 1 year with GLP/GMP lab experience is required.

  • At least 1 year with a lab position.

  • A B.S. degree or equivalent experience in laboratory skills such as cell culture or biology is preferred.

  • The individual holding this position must be of the highest integrity and have a very strong sense of responsibility. The individual must be well organized, capable of independent study completion, adapting to a broad spectrum of responsibilities and able to maintain meticulous and accurate records. Capability to adhere to good documentation practices and good laboratory practices (GLP) is of utmost importance.

  • Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 9am-5pm., with additional work, as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance from South Brunswick (Dayton) NJ area are encouraged to apply.
