Job Description

Inventory Counter – First Shift - Dayton, NJ

An Inventory Counter position is available at one of the world’s best flavors and fragrance company located in Dayton, NJ!

You Will Spend Your Time…

  • Validating raw material and finished good inventory through the Continuous Inventory process and Cycle Counting processes

  • Reviewing material movements, usage, and processing the necessary inventory adjustments to correct the discrepancy

  • Resolving missing inventory issues in a timely fashion

  • Resolving COGIs, posting changes, and backflushing discrepancies

  • Providing feedback on causes of discrepancies to ensure Best Inventory Practices

  • Segregating any rejected, obsolete or slow-moving materials as recommended by the business

Job Requirements

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Understanding of basic mathematical equations

  • Analytical skills to evaluate inventory discrepancies and ability to make recommendations to resolve further discrepancies

  • Ability to perform at high standards with very little supervision

  • Ability to use fork and drum lifts, pallet movers and operate scales

  • Must be able to push or pull up to 50 pounds

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3-5 years of Inventory experience

  • Experience with receiving, production, shipping and inventory procedures

  • SAP knowledge and experience
