Job Description

This position will be based out of our South Brunswick, NJ location.

This highly visible role is responsible for managing and strengthening the supply chain partnership with IFF’s major customers, by ensuring internal business alignment with customer needs. As the strategic operations partner of the commercial team, this individual will support the growth of the business at optimal cost. The Global Account Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing collaborative solutions with customers through their strong understanding of supply chain planning, inventory, logistics, project management and continuous improvement practices. This individual is accountable for the supply chain relationship at all levels of the customer's supply chain organization. The position will report to the Director of Supply Chain – Key Accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Enable IFF to be our Customer’s Premier Partner

  • Develop collaborative supply chain solutions through cross-functional partnerships that drive mutual benefits for customers and IFF.

  • Implement proactive demand and supply strategies including best-in-class SIOP process to anticipate and meet customer’s needs including new product introduction and discontinuations.

  • Lead supply chain joint business planning processes with the customers.

  • Provide strategic supply chain expertise and insights to the commercial teams for competitive differentiation.

  • Leverage emerging supply chain capabilities and technology such as VMI, EDI, Ariba to improve customer collaboration and service.

  • Align IFF’s internal operational KPIs with customer metrics and develop performance scorecards.

  • Support supplying plants with delivering high service level and the flawless execution of order management processes.

  • Optimize inventory in the end-to-end supply chain, minimize SLOB and write-offs.

  • Manage customer requests related to business continuity plans.

  • Proactively develop processes and procedures to improve operational performance and minimize customer complaints. Share best practices and learnings across IFF sites and facilitate training.

  • Coordinate with operations on service issues to ensure that the root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions are robust.

Support Global Operations

  • Drive continuous improvement and productivity agenda in alignment with operations core values.

  • Optimize global supply chain performance by balancing cost and service.

  • Sense and respond to global supply chain developments and manage mitigation of disruptions, leveraging support of an international team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience in supply chain or similar function (customer service, planning, logistics) for a manufacturing company.

  • Strong experience in Order to Cash Process and managing service KPIs is strongly preferred.

  • Understanding of the food & beverage / health business and experience with global customers is preferred.

  • Skilled at understanding customer requirements and translating them into specific actions and deliverables for a global team.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external teams, to communicate effectively with senior management and to effect change across a large and diverse organization.

  • Self-starter with problem solving ability. Able to work independently, prioritize effectively and execute based on high level direction.

  • Practical experience of RCA tools and implementing CAPA.

  • Strong analytical background and hands-on experience with ERP (preferably SAP), MyBis, AO/BW, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Willingness to travel (10-20%) for customer and internal meetings.
