Summary

The Stockroom Team Lead's primary responsibilities are accurately picking and relieving parts from inventory for all jobs, as well as staging materials for these jobs, while managing the pull schedule, cycle counts, and all other portions of the stockroom.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Schedule stock pulls based off the master schedulePull, label, stage, and issue materials accurately from stock for all jobs per pick list requirementsCoordinate material shortages with supervisor and report additional inventory requirements to PurchasingReconcile materials back into inventory as necessaryPerform daily cycle counts, review variances, and document root causesProvide day-to-day guidance, training and direction to the Stockroom ClerkStock incoming materials in their proper locationsManage safety stock levels and suggest adjustmentsProactively provide continuous improvement suggestions and lead projects in the stockroomManage inventory discrepancies and correct as neededDisposition materials as necessaryMaintain general housekeeping and organization within the stockroomEffectively communicate with all departments and personnelFollows and adheres to safety and quality protocolsOther duties as assignedRequirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Possess strong attention to detail, particularly with part numbers and inventory countsPossess strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to read, or learn to proficiently read blueprintsWorking knowledge of MRP systems, Syteline preferredAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measureProficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to effectively train and lead a teamAbility to prioritize tasks in a busy environment with competing priorities

Education and Experience

Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent One 1 year minimum related stockroom experience required Experience leading projects and/or teams of people strongly preferred
