DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Nurse Aide (certified nurse aide), under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, you provide skilled, personal, outpatient, and general population care. Some of your daily duties include:

Completing basic nursing skills and nursing procedures to maintain optimum inmate health and provide quality care. Completing documentation as required. Collecting specimens as directed by the registered nurse for urine, feces, and sputum. Completing or assisting inmates with daily living activities and hygiene to ensure basic physical care needs are met. Participating in Life Skills programming by following nursing care plan orders, providing care and interventions consistent with each inmate's needs, and documenting on assigned aspects of nursing care plan. Participating in emergency situations such as performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), clearing obstructed airways, and participating in emergency response drills as assigned.Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40-hour work week The Department of Corrections is staffed by three (3) work shifts that cover the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Work hours TO BE DETERMINED: 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM); 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM); 3rd shift (10:00 PM to 6:30 AM) 8-hour shifts, rotating off days Alternative work schedules may be available, depending on operational needs. Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents. Special Requirement:

This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry. Additional Requirements:

Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
