Ivoclar Senior Cost Accountant (Hybrid) in Somerset, New Jersey

Senior Cost Accountant Location: Somerset, NJ (Hybrid)

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate month end closing activities related to cost accounting

  • Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs

  • Inventory management – reporting/analysis of inventory transactions and the inventory count process

  • Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly/yearly financial statements

  • Set up accounting views for new raw material, WIP and FG items in a worldwide ERP system

  • Maintain periodic cost rolls and updates

  • Oversee fixed asset process and reporting

  • Analysis and distribution of production KPI reports (OTD, Output, Work Order variances, etc.)

  • Assist with yearly budget process

  • Assist with financial & tax audits

  • Assist the Director of Finance with special projects as assigned

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

    Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance

  • 2+ years Accounting/Finance experience – cost accounting preferred

  • Experience with SAP ERP system required

  • Ability to meet assignment deadlines

  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload / time management

  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written, with a customer service focus

  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner

  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees

  • Extremely strong MS Excel skills; especially advanced financial modeling and analytical techniques

  • Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate complex processes

    Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a computer workstation. Occasionally required to stand, move about inside the office area to access files. Frequently communicates with employees of all levels as well as outside vendors. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
